Kathleen M Jean

Kathleen "Kathie" Morang Jean, age 79, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

Kathie was born January 2, 1947, in Milford, Massachusetts, to Hilda (Rollins) Jewer. She was the youngest of four daughters and grew up in Medway, Massachusetts.

Kathie was a devoted mother and Grammy. She was extremely proud of her family, bragging about her boys and grandchildren to everyone she knew. She enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends. Kathie had a special love for dogs, especially her two, Rena and Willow. She always had treats for the dogs of her family and friends.

Kathie is survived by her two sons, Jay Black and wife, Donna; and Jason Black and wife, Kristi; grandchildren, Allison Black, Katie Turner, Tyler Black, Nicole Black and Earl Black; sister, Joan Griffin, and husband, Carl; in addition to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother; her beloved husbands, E.J. Black and Hollis Jean; her daughter, Jodi; and her sisters, Beverly Watson and Hildy Flood.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on June 23, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, located at 201 N Bosque Street, Whitney, Texas 76692.

As per her wishes, a private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fuzzy Friends Rescue 6321 Airport Rd, Waco, TX 76708 or King Memorial Methodist Church 502 N Colorado Street, Whitney, Texas 76692.
