Kathy Lynn (Knutson) Copeland

Kathy Lynn Copeland, age 63, of Whitney, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, the 23rd of February 2022. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Scott Pelham officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney. Visitation will be herd from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Kathy was born November 3, 1958, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Ernest and Bertha Knutson. Kathy graduated high school from West, Texas. After high school Kathy was a waitress until she married Donald and they started their family. Kathy has since been a long-time employee at Brookshires in Hillsboro, and most recently she was working at Dyna in Whitney.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Knutson, her mother, Bertha Knutson and two of her older brothers, Terry and Jimmy Knutson.

Kathy leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Donald Copeland of Whitney, Texas. She also leaves behind her children, Tracy Copeland of Wolfe City, Texas; Matthew Copeland and wife Jennifer of Whitney, Texas; and Lainie Copeland of Italy, Texas. Kathy is further survived by her siblings, Karen Whitman and husband Jeff of Prescott, Arizona; Clark Knutson and wife Kim of Burleson, Texas; Bobby Knutson of Whitney, Texas; Scott Knutson and wife Stephanie of Fort Worth, Texas; and J.D. Knutson of Duncanville, Texas. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, Kristin Lopez and husband Felix, Zachary Simons, Collyn Copeland, Micah Innis, Bryce Copeland, and Peyton Copeland. Kathy also has two great grandchildren, Zeppelin and Zuree Lopez. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Kathy is a very loved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
