Larry Rickert

Larry Albert Rickert passed away December 3, 2025. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Garden of Memory.

He was born December 27, 1942, to Oliver and Nadine Rickert in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Melissa, and three children, Melanie Bearden, Katherine Hofmann, and Nicholas Rickert. He is also survived by his sister, Ramona Blair, and her children.

He attended Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, Texas, followed by more than seven years of service in the Air Force. Upon discharge, he went to work at the University of Texas television studio

Employment at Texas Instruments came next, where he assisted in the development of the Advance Scientific Computer (one of the first super computers of the 1970's). He also worked for Raytheon and retired in 2009.

Larry enjoyed genealogy as a hobby.
