Laverne Todd

LaVerne Memaw Todd passed away at her residence on March 16, 2010. LaVerne was born on April 19, 1935 in Hubbard; the daughter of the late Fred Herman and Laura Thelma Dingler Paslay. She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1953. She had worked as a meat wrapper at HEB in Waco and later at Wal Mart in the shoe department. LaVerne enjoyed working outdoors with her flowers and gardening; sewing and several kinds of arts and crafts. She was of the Missionary Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Calhoun and husband Brevious of Whitney; brother, Cecil Paslay of Alvarado;and her pride and joy, grandson, Jason Duane Vieregge of Whitney. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors to help with expenses.
