Linda Charlene Stevens Hall was born January 15, 1947 in Plainview, Texas. She passed away peacefully at the age of seventy-eight on October 11, 2025 in Whitney, Texas. Born to father J.P. Stevens and mother Dorothy L. Dodson Stevens, Linda was the youngest of her siblings Frances L. Stevens Peterson, Charles L. Stevens and Tommie G. Stevens. Linda married Marshall Gary Hall on November 13, 1964 in Clovis, New Mexico. Together they had two children, Michael Shane Hall and Marchel Marlene Hall Eubank. Her life as a mother, homemaker and traveler began in earnest in 1965. Her husband’s work took them from west Texas to Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah domestically and in the mid-seventies would take them internationally to Iran, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Myanmar (Burma) and Azerbaijan. In the 1980’s on holiday to Texas they discovered Lake Whitney and purchased their state-side home. Retiring to Whitney in 1997; Linda owned and operated a real estate franchise and later worked for an insurance company, finally officially retiring in 2020.
Over the years of travel Linda made so many dear friends from all over the world. She stayed close to her Texas roots, fiercely loving her large Texas family. The annual Stevens-Freeman Reunion was one of her favorite gatherings. Her whole heart was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as the kindest, friendliest, most caring and giving mother and grandmother. Her grandmother name, Nan was synonymous with love and she wore it as a badge of honor. Linda lived a life of service to others and we know she is now dwelling in the Lord’s house.
Linda is survived by her children; Michael Hall and wife Jill of Whitney, daughter Marchel Eubank and husband Lyle of Whitney, grandchildren Blake Eubank and wife Blaine of Whitney, Rex Eubank and wife Bianca of Whitney, Peyton Eubank and wife Ally of Dallas, Lyndsy Brassell and husband Shane of Whitney, Stephanie Bentley and husband Heath of Aquilla, great grandchildren Gage, Colt, Ava, Knox, Maddy, Brooks, Bellamy and Stone and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
On behalf of the Hall and Eubank families our sincere gratitude to Nan’s caregivers at Wings Over Texas Hospice and Whitney Nursing and Rehabilitation (Townhall) for their loving care, we are forever grateful. They are angels among us.
