Linda Kay Jordan

Linda Kay Jordan, 78, of West, Texas, passed away suddenly on August 11, 2026, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 14, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born on September 2, 1947, in Waco, Texas to Freeland and Juanita Durant, Linda grew up in Itasca, Texas and graduated from Itasca High School. She entered the workforce and her strong work ethic and kind, caring nature made her successful in childcare services and later retail store management.

Linda met the love of her life, George Jordan, and they were united in marriage on January 15, 1971. They were blessed with two incredible sons, and they devoted themselves to raising their family. George and Linda spent many happy years together until his passing in 1993. In 2001 Linda found love again and married Jimmy (JD) Findley, Sr. JD would go on to bring Linda love and joy until he preceded her in death in 2006.

She was a dedicated Christian and attended church at Walnut Street Baptist in Hillsboro. Linda later attended Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro where she was currently a member. She enjoyed bible study and singing in the choir.

Linda was full of life and loved music, car races, rodeos, traveling, playing a variety of different games, and above all spending quality time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeland and Juanita Durant; husband, George Jordan; husband, Jimmy (JD) Findley; son, Robert Jordan; brother, Kenneth Durant; sisters, Gladys Hall, Jessie Napps, and Lilly Basye. Linda is survived by her son, James; daughter-in-law, Christi; two beautiful grandchildren; and numerous beloved other family members.
