She was born on August 21, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, to parents Eddie Guzman and Beatrice (Grantham) Guzman.
Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to serving others through a variety of positions in both the healthcare and restaurant business. She was a hardworking and dependable woman who took great pride in everything she did. Whether she cared for patients and families in healthcare or provided warm hospitality through her work in restaurants, she approached every role with compassion, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
Her willingness to work hard and help others reflected the kind of caring person she was. She built meaningful relationships with many people throughout her career and left a lasting impression through her kindness, integrity, and genuine concern for those around her.
For the past ten years, she made her home in Hillsboro, Texas, where she resided with her beloved sister Dolores Sader-Nichols. Their time together was filled with love, companionship, and the special bond that only sisters share. The years they spent together brought her comfort, happiness, and the blessing of being surrounded by family.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures. She especially enjoyed spending her days watching her favorite daytime programs, which became a treasured part of her daily routine.
Her love for animals was immeasurable, and her devoted fur babies, Cindy, Holly, Peewee, and Dory. It brings comfort to know that her beloved Dory was surely waiting to greet her with a joyful welcome as she entered her heavenly home.
Our mother was a woman of extraordinary kindness, compassion, and unwavering integrity. Her gentle spirit and caring heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She always put the needs of others before her own, offering comfort, encouragement, and a helping hand without hesitation.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Guzman-Grantham; her stepfather, Robert M. Grantham; and her sister, Beatrice Proa. She found strength, comfort, and peace in her relationship with the Lord and lived her life according to the values of kindness, compassion, and love. She will be lovingly remembered for the love that she had for her family, and the special bond she shared with her beloved pets, who brought her great joy and companionship.
Though she will be greatly missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and they find comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully in the presence of her Savior and reunited with those who went before her.
