Luvenia Forcey

Luvenia (Williams) Forcey, age 89, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Itasca. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Itasca with burial to follow at Itasca Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 10, 2026, T Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro.

She was born February 7, 1937, in Normangee, Texas, to Louise and Ethel (Harrell) Williams.

Luvenia will be remembered for her smile, sense of humor and prayers. She loved church and God and was Mother of the Church, active until her health began to fail her. An excellent cook, Luvenia, hosted big family meals in her home. She was the queen of her family and the glue that held them together. Luvenia enjoyed puzzles, painting, fishing and sewing. She worked as a caregiver in home health many years with her daughters caring for her endlessly, with Nenia providing the most care and comfort in her final days.

She had a smile for all she met and one could never leave her presence without the joy of laughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Ethel Williams; her husband, James Forcey; her son, Milton Forcey; her sisters, Billie and Claudine; and her brothers, Clyde and Joe Louis. Survivors include her children, Esther Forcey (Wilbert), Nenia Forcey, James Forcey, Robert (Enka) Forcey, Iva Forcey White (Ricky), Virginia Forcey Evans (Rayford), Clyde Forcey (Donna); thirty-three grandchildren; and ninety great grandchildren.
