Marie Shulenberger

Marie O. Petty-Shulenberger, age 91, of Poolville, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 18, 2025.

She was born on August 31, 1934, in Blum, Texas, to John Sidney Bomar and Miranda Cavender.

She was twice blessed in marriage, first to R.C. Petty, and later to Robert Shulenberger; both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers and four sisters, and her daughter, Terri Stedman.

She is survived by four of her children and their spouses: David and Ruby Petty, Robert and Donna Petty, Alton and Donna Timmons and Randy and Lupe Petty. She had thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Marie lived a life rooted in family and love. Her faith was her foundation, and she had unwavering trust through many seasons of her life. She loved and served God with all her heart. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing she is healed, whole, and in the presence of her Savior. As we wait on this side of Heaven, we hold fast to the promise of being reunited with her again.
