Michael Inmon

Micheal (Bear) Inmon, 75, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. Born on January 27, 1950, in Waco, Texas, Bear lived a life full of adventure, creativity and love.

In his younger years, Bear could often be found riding on his motorcycles, embracing the freedom of the open road. His adventurous spirit was matched by his incredible skill as a welder and metal artist, where his hands shaped steel into art.

Bear also owned Mike's Professional Playground Installation and built commercial playgrounds where generations of children will find joy and laughter. His craftsmanship and imagination have left a lasting mark on his community.

For forty-three years, Bear was the devoted husband of Gwen, his partner in all things. Their marriage was a testament to love, laughter and unwavering support. In the community, they were known simply as "Gwen & Bear," inseparable in both life and business.

Together they operated Gwen & Bear's Grooming and Boarding in Peoria, Texas for thirty-eight years, building a life rich in memories and shared dreams.

Bear will be remembered for his warmth, generosity and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He is survived by his beloved wife Gwendolyn Newman Inmon; daughters, Kimberly Lowe and husband Shon of Arlington, Texas, Michelle Wachsmann and husband Jack of New Braunfels, Texas, son Michael Inmon, Jr. and wife Malisa of Colleyville, Texas. He was a proud grandfather to Tanner, Dawson, Brennon, Jace, Malia, Keira and Alex, and a cherished great-grandfather to Weston and Kenleigh. Bear is also survived by Genaro Cecilio who he cherished like a son, along with his wife Isabel and beloved children Samuel, Noemi, Jasmine and Gabriella. Bear is remembered fondly by many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother Myrtle Lucille Leslie, his father Weldon James Inmon and sister Karon Carter.

Bear's legacy of love, artistry and adventure will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held on June 16, 2025.
