Nancy Jane Jackson, 82, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Nancy was born on February 9, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas. She lived a life centered around faith, family, and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all else, Nancy's greatest passion was being a mother and caring for her family. She devoted many years to serving as a teacher in Texas schools, where her warmth, patience, and caring spirit touched countless students and families throughout her career. Nancy also found joy in sewing, a hobby she loved deeply and shared through thoughtful gifts and acts of love for those around her. She will be remembered for her loving heart, quick wit, infectious smile, unwavering faith, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Elliott; her mother, Leta Belle Elliott; and her son, Charles Jeffrey Jackson.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Jackson; son, Greg (Sara) Jackson; daughter, Emily (Philip) West; son, Brian Jackson; grandson, Grant Jackson; granddaughter, Sarah Jackson; and grandsons, PJ, Rusty, and Olen West.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nancy's life during visitation on Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas, with interment at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 12 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Psalms 23 brought comfort to Nancy and her family throughout her life and faith journey. Nancy's love, strength, and beautiful spirit will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
