Nell Turner

Nell was born May 2, 1908 in Brandon, Texas to B. E. and Allie Nehring. Living in Brandon most of her life she graduated from Brandon High School in 1925. On June 3, 1926 she married Powell Turner in Brandon and he preceded her in death in 1984. After her husband's death she moved to Hillsboro. For 27 years she served as the Postmaster in Brandon, retiring in 1972. She was a life long member of First Presbyterian Church in Brandon. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers. Survivors include a niece, Mary Ann Gashara of Waco.
