Odette Popp

Odette was born August 6, 1908 near Abbott, Texas to John A. and Laura Bell Stanphill Kennedy. Living in Abbot all of her life, she married Eugene Popp in 1944. She worked for J. M. Ward Manufacturing in Hillsboro for a number of years. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Eugene on November 13, 1965; a son, Freddy Popp on June 22, 2001; four brothers; and four sisters. She was a member of the Abbott Baptist Church in Abbott. Survivors include two grandsons, Brady Popp and Randy Popp both of Abbott; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Popp and Darren Popp; four nieces, Laurann Grimm of West, Sue Kennedy of Dallas, Sara Pinner of Aquilla, and Becky Smith of Dallas; two nephews, Charles Kennedy of Eastland, and Pat Smith of Dallas.
