Ottis Clark Keel

Ottis Clark Keel, 85, went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 14, 2026, in Waco, TX, surrounded by his loving family.

Ottis was born on August 22, 1940, in Louisiana, to Jesse and Doshie Keel. He moved to Fort Worth in 1958 to work as a butcher for AL Davis Grocery, where he met his wife, Patsy Keel. They married on January 21, 1962. He worked 38 years as a dispatcher for Bell Helicopter Textron and retired in 2001. He was a devoted and guiding force to his family and will be deeply remembered for his loyalty, honesty, integrity, quick-witted humor, and his endless kindness. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He leaves behind a beautiful legacy and will be lovingly remembered by his surviving family, his wife of 64 years, Patsy; children, Jeffery Keel, Lynette and Glenn Scarbrough and Clayton and Christi Keel; his adored grandchildren, Cody and Denise Crowder, Cristin Grantham, Chance and Sarah Keel, Lance and Brooke Scarbrough, Justin and Katie Scarbrough, Shayla and Tony Giuliani, Josh Lanier, Serenity and Trevor Lipe, Dilian Keel, Nicholas Keel; his adorable great grandchildren, Haylee Batey, Kyle Keel, Shilyn Grantham, Landen Keel, Caleb Crowder, Aubree Scarbrough, Christa Crowder, Jordyn Grantham, Lucah Giuliani, Latham Giuliani, Lawrence Scarbrough, Gideon Scarbrough and Waylon Scarbrough; sister, Melonee and Rooter Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that he loved greatly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Doshie Keel; 7 brothers, Norman, Louis, J.D., Curtis, Claude, Thomas, and George; and 2 nephews and a niece.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney Tx.3 Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, 201 N Bosque, Whitney, TX, with Pastor Bryan Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memory, 3838 TX-22, Hillsboro, TX, with Chance Keel, Lance Scarbrough, Josh Lanier, Justin Scarbrough, Dilian Keel, Nicholas Keel serving as pallbearers and Tyler Keel serving as honorary pallbearer.
