Richard Hunsberger, 78, of Waco, Texas, passed away on January 25, 2024, in Waco. He was a loving husband and father, known to his loved ones as Dick. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam War, Dick was a kind and compassionate man who was adored by all who knew him. He always had a story to tell and a helping hand to lend. After his military service, he had a successful career in sales management at Stroh's Brewery Company and later at Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff. Even in his retirement, he continued to share his expertise as a sales consultant at Bug Juice Beverage.
Dick will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his beloved wife, Diane Hunsberger; his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Colleen Hunsberger; his daughter-in-law, Lois Hunsberger; his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Carol Hargrave; his son, Pete Hargrave; his son and fiancé, Todd Hargrave and Lupe Cortinas; his brother, George Hunsberger; his sister, Sharon Brown; and his many much-loved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Martha Hunsberger; his son, Tom Hunsberger; his grandson, Eric Hargrave; and his brother, Don Hunsberger.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney, Texas. Viewing begins at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will take place immediately following the funeral service.
