Robert Mitchell

Robert Jackson Mitchell passed away on November 21, 2006 at his residence. He was the son of Harrison David and Rosa Edith Moore Mitchell. On August 19, 1956, he married Vera Daphene Barbee and she preceded him in death on February 4, 2006. Robert worked for General Steel for 30 years as a welder. He was also an avid fisherman and gardener. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitney. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his children, C. W. Mitchell of Everman, Jerry Mitchell of Fort Worth, Cathy Mackie of Arizona, Barbara Olson of Dallas, Bernie Murray of Dallas; brother, Harold David Mitchell of Logans Port, LA; sisters, Hazel Phillips of Clarksville, Ann Roberts of New Boston, Faye Peek of Paris; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
