Ruby Lee (Foster) Payne

Ruby Lee Payne, 86, of Whitney passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Homestead Nursing and Rehab in Hillsboro.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, at Bell Springs Cemetery near Bynum.  Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Ruby was born April 17, 1935, in Fort Worth to Carl and Gladys (Wells) Foster.  She worked many years as a seamstress.  She was a member of The Eastern Star.  Ruby was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James Rufus Payne; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her grandsons, James Deluca and Frances, and Jason Payne, all of Whitney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
