Ryan Carlos Vargas

Ryan Carlos Vargas, age 21, gained his angel wings on April 10, 2026, doing the work he loved. Ryan was a driven and dedicated young man who excelled in every task he set his mind to and was actively involved in many activities throughout his life.

During his high school years, Ryan was a standout athlete, playing both baseball and football. His talent and determination earned him lettering honors in both sports as a freshman-an early reflection of his commitment and work ethic. He graduated in 2023, ranked fourth in his class, a testament to both his intelligence and perseverance.

Following graduation, Ryan continued his education at TSTC, where he earned his CDL and a certificate from lineman school. He took great pride in his work and was passionate about building a future doing what he loved.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joel Walker; his uncle, Tod Walker; his father, Carlos Vargas; and his Nana, Joyce Walker. He is survived by his loving mother, Ginger; his great-aunt Gayle Gilcrease and husband Steve; several cousins and his dog Rocky whom he adored.

Ryan will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and the lasting impact he had on everyone who knew him. His life, though far too short, was filled with purpose, achievement, and love.

A celebration of Ryan's life will be held Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Central Baptist Church, 1100 Old Bynum Road, Hillsboro, Texas.
