Salvador Torres

Salvador Torres, age 62, of Hillsboro, Texas passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at his home. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 am, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. A burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Garden of Memory Cemetery in Hillsboro. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro.

He was born February 27, 1963, in San Marcos, Texas, to Domingo T. Torres and Felipa Gutierrez.

Salvador enjoyed gardening, working outside, oil painting, drawing, sketching, and sports, such as cross country running. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved to smile and joke around. He could always make Eva smile, even when she was mad. Salvador was excited about retiring and caught the "travel bug" after visiting New York City twice and Las Vegas once. He had lots of travel plans and enjoyed spending time with Eva on "hot dates." Salvador was a perfect gentleman. Friends and family referred to Eva and Salvador as "love birds."

Preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Felipa; his sister, Norma Torres Vital; and his nephew, Andrew Torres Vital, Salvador is survived by his wife, Eva Sanchez Torres; his children, Aaron Torres and his fiancée, April, Korey Torres, and Zakari Torres; his sisters, Alice Torres Morrow, and Gloria Munguia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
