Sharon Maass

Sharon Fondren Maass, 84, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, in Brownwood. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 22, 2025, at Walling Cemetery in Malone, Texas. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro.

She was born February 28, 1941, in Dawson, Texas, to Hoyt and Nora (Cleveland) Fondren and loved by step-father, N. Frank Williams. Sharon knew early in life that she would need to make money, so she earned her nursing license to support her family. She married into a family of nurses and was a Registered Nurse herself for fifty years. In addition to having a heart for caregiving, Sharon was independent, strong-willed, hardheaded and a great friend. She was a fun loving, adventurous, intelligent, brave lady with incredible perseverance. Sharon was a great seamstress, loved to crochet, loved roses, especially red and yellow, loved animals, especially cats, and loved taking cruises and going to Las Vegas.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Nora Fondren; her Husband, Clyde Maass; and her step-father, N. Frank Williams. She is survived by her sons, Nathaniel Buck Maass and Jon Maass.
