Sherry Chestnut

Sherry Kay (Robertson) Chestnut, age 79, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025, in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 PM, Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Marshall and Marshall. Burial will follow the service at Shiloh Cemetery in Midlothian.

Sherry was born December 26, 1945, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Claude and Alpha Lorene (Fortenberry) Robertson.

An excellent homemaker, she enjoyed cooking for family and friends. In her spare time, she tended to her animals and made sure everyone around her felt welcome.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Alpha Robertson; and her son, Robert Wilson. Survivors include her husband, Jackie D. Chestnut; her children, Tammie Wilson, David Wilson, Renea Fields and spouse, Kenneth, Sasha Chestnut, and Blaine Chestnut and spouse, Brianna; her grandchildren, Tamra Wilson, Christian Poindexter and spouse, Cecila, Tyler Wilson and spouse, Heather, Felicia Kuykendall and spouse, Timothy, Cristal Chestnut, Chelsea Wilson Hoang, and Tiffany Wilson Mason; and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
