Shirley Johnson, 71 of Whitney, passed away on January 10, 2017, at a Waco hospital. No services are scheduled at this time.
Shirley was born on October 24,1945, to Joseph and Hazel (Cassidy) Veenstra.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Peggy Johnson; brothers, Jimmy, Laverne and Michael Veenstra; and a grandson Richard Davis.
Survivors include Patrick Daniel of Whitney; children, Catherine Kelly and husband, Richard of Morgan, Tanya Mitchell and husband Glynn of Cleburne and Joseph Daniel of McCloud, OK; siblings, Timmy Veenstra and wife, Cathy of McCloud, OK, Patsy Veenstra of Oklahoma City, OK, and Joann Ledbetter and Diane Veenstra both of McCloud, OK; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
