Simplicio Ramos

Simplicio Ramos-Martinez, a man who loved and is loved by so many, passed away Friday, December 26th, 2025. Services to honor his life will be held at 12:00 PM, January 5, 2026, at Iglesia De Dios Getsemani, 6378 Corsicana Hwy. Hillsboro, Texas 76645, with visitation prior to service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Simplicio was born on March 10th, 1975, in Hidalgo, Mexico to Manuel Ramos and Emiliana Martinez. He was a loving, strong, and selfless man who meant more to our family than words can express. He always worked hard in order to provide for his family and watch his children succeed in their careers. He was such a loving person to anyone and everyone who entered his home or even just someone he had an interaction with. My father never met a stranger he wasn't willing to help. He had a heart of a servant if he could, he would have given the shirt off his back. My father was always so silly and could never take anything serious. Even in his final moments he messed with his nurse. He called for "Assistance" and when they responded he began to sing "lalala lalala." When he had family visiting him at the hospital he would always say, "Yeah, I'll be out of here by tomorrow."

His guidance, love, and presence shaped who we are, and his memory will forever live on in our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his mother Emiliana Martinez.

Simplicio is survived by his wife Emilia Valencia; his son Emmanuel Ramos and his wife, Guadalupe; his daughters, Magali Ramos and Clarissa Ramos; and his grandchildren, Giovanni Guerrero and Nathanael Guerrero.
