Terry Wade Cox, Sr.

Terry Wade Cox was born on April 25, 1951, to Mollis Cox and Cillie Jane Williams in San Marcos, Texas. He married the love of his life, Dora May Hoisington, on July 9, 1969. He worked as a cedar cutter and did other agricultural jobs but retired as a truck driver.

He enjoyed working on lawnmowers and trucks and spending time with his family, as family was the most important thing in the world to him. He never met a stranger and he always knew how to make you smile or laugh, no matter what was going on around you. He was the greatest at everything he did, especially as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

He passed away on December 12, 2025, and was preceded in death by his parents: Mollis and Cillie Jane Cox; his sister, Katheryn Cox; and brother, Alfred Cox. 

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Dora Cox of Whitbey; his sons: Terry Jr. and partner, Angela, Chester and wife Jessica, Troy, and Nathan, all of Whitney; two sisters: Cillie Harmon of Lipan and Omie Cox of Clifton; his grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
