Thomas Bartholomew

Cdr. Thomas C. Bart Bartholomew, U.S.N. Ret. died on December, 17, 2009. He was born on March 23, 1946 to the parents of Dr. Paul C. and Agnes Bartholomew in South Bend, Indiana. Bart graduated from Central High School and the University of Notre Dame B.S.M.E. He began his service as a Naval officer in 1958. After receiving his wings in Pensacola, Florida, he served his country in the United States, the Far East, and European countries. He retired from the U. S. Navy in 1979, completing his tour of duty with an assignment in Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Catherine Beck; two children, daughter, Ann and son, Paul, a granddaughter, Jennifer, who is serving our country as an active duty Navy airman, and a brother, Bob. Bart and Cathy moved to the Whitney area in 1999, after his retirement from Bank of America. He and Cathy enjoyed traveling, volunteer work and spending time with friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family request any donations be made in Bart's name to the charity of your choice.
