Vickie Renee (Carrington) Minson

On January 30, 2022, a wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Vickie Minson went to be with her Lord and Savior. A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas. A Memorial Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall.

Vickie was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on January 24, 1959, to D.R. “Buster” and Mildred “Millie” Carrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Walters; brother, Terry Carrington; uncles, Bud Cranor and Ron Cleveland; and her mother-in-law, Mary Joann Minson.

Vickie is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Alan Minson of Hillsboro, Texas; her children, Tonya Stady of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jonathan Minson and his wife, Kaylee of Huntsville, Texas; three grandchildren, Zoey Stady, Jentry Minson and Jima Minson; her brother, Scott Carrington; her sisters Sherrie Duenas and Carrie Price and her husband, Andy; her step-brother, Johnny Walters; sisters-in-law, Jean Ann Carrington and Shirley Minson; father-in-law, Murle Minson; brother-in-law, Donald Minson and his wife, Betty; her aunts, Mary and Linda; her very good friend from high school, Kathy Hinzak; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hill Regional Hospital in Vickie’s name to offset the medical expenses.
