Wallace Wellington Windle, born on December 1, 1933, in Jackson. Michigan passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. A resident of Whitney, Texas, Wallace was known for his gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to family and community.
He accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of 15 and faithfully served the Lord throughout his life. After graduating from Napoleon High School in 1952, he served in the Army from July 1954 to June 1956, stationed in Hawaii. He graduated from college as an electrical engineer. He spent over 25 years at LTV as an aerospace engineer in both Michigan and Texas. Wally met his wife, Betty, in Napoleon, Michigan, and they spent 61 years together before she passed away in 2023. In retirement, Wally enjoyed living in the White Bluff community, golfing, playing billiards/table tennis, fishing, and traveling with his wife, Betty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, and brothers Eric and Greg.
Survivors include: His brother, Larry (Sue) Windle; his children: Melanie Lippert of Murfreesboro, TN; Diane (Nathan) Henne of New Orleans, LA; Keith (Shona) Windle of Grand Prairie, TX; Nathan (Jennifer) Windle of McDonough, GA; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Wallace’s memory will be honored in an upcoming visitation held at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas, on December 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas, on December 30, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
