Wanda Louise Hole

Wanda Louise Hole, born on October 19, 1932, to Lonnie and Maggie Butcher in Aquilla, peacefully passed away on September 16, 2025. A compassionate soul, Wanda was the youngest of twelve children, but her nurturing spirit shone brightly as she devotedly cared for five of her special needs siblings in her home until their passing.

Wanda's professional life included dedicated service at the Cotton Mill and Lathem Springs Encampment, where she made meaningful connections and left a lasting impact on those around her. On April 13, 1972, Wanda married Evard Hole Sr., who preceded her in death on May 28, 2002. Their union was marked by shared love and support, and she often reminisced fondly about their time together.

Throughout her life, Wanda embraced her passions with enthusiasm. In her earlier years, she found joy in gardening, baking, crocheting, and playing dominoes, activities that brought her both pleasure and solace. As the years went by, she developed a fondness for puzzles and computer games, and she cherished the time spent caring for her beloved cats.

Wanda's faith was a cornerstone of her existence; she deeply loved Jesus and was eager to share her faith with everyone she encountered. Her conversations often revolved around the promise of heaven, giving comfort to those who knew her. Her family finds peace in knowing she now resides in the place she longed for.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sisters: Juanita, Sybil, Aubry, Johnnie Nell Butcher, and Ruth Trammell. She was also preceded by her brothers: Dave, Carl, Forrest (Dugin), Jesse, L.D., and Milton Butcher.

She is survived by her children: Daisy (Candy) Merkel, Ruby Roberts, Helen Northup, Bonnie Martin, and son, Edvard Hole Jr., along with her nephew Curtis Butcher (Brenda) and niece Carlynn. Wanda's legacy lives on through her ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
