William Earl Daniel, 81, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, in Waco, Texas. Graveside services will take place at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Itasca Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
He was born December 13, 1944, in Hill County, to Clarence David and Ollie Edith (Moore) Daniel. William graduated from Itasca High School in 1963. He then attended East Texas State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in science and math and later received his master's degree in school administration in 1977 at Texas A & M University, Kingsville. William married Linda Wall on August 26, 1967, in Dallas.
William started his teaching career in 1967 in San Benito, Texas then taught in Itasca from 1983 to 1996. He enjoyed woodworking, watching football, and going on cruises where he was able to see the world.
He is preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; three brothers; and his son-in-law, Jim Reaves. William is survived by his wife, Linda; his son, Bryan Daniel and wife, Tamara; his daughter, Glynis Reaves; his granddaughters, Emily Daniel and Elizabeth Daniel; his sisters, Sylvia Wallace, Inez Kerby, Edith Minor and Patricia McClendon; sister-in-law, Phyllis Daniel; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
