Wincie Conger

She was the daughter of Rundle Earl and Bertha Ann McCoy Corridon. She loved to quilt, embroidery, crochet, and also liked to fish. Anytime that anyone said go , she was ready. Mrs. Conger never met a stranger as she loved people and always had a wonderful smile. She worked as a nurse's aide for nearly 14 years at Grant-Buie Hospital and retired on June 3, 1977. She was preceded in death by her husbasnd, Taylor V. Statham on February 5, 1955 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. Her survivors are three sons; James R. Statham and wife, Betty J. of Aransas Pass; Larry Earl Statham and wife, Lynda A. of Crowley; and Allan Dale Statham and wife, Judy E. of Whitney. 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
