Zachery Summers

Zachery Bryan Summers, age 23, of Whitney went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday July 8, 2013 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney, Texas. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Mayfield and Mark Mitchell. Burial will follow at Prairie Valley Cemetery near Whitney. Visitation will be Sunday July 7, 2013 from 2:00- 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Zachery was born September 12, 1989 to Patrick and Janita Summers. Zachery was the second of three children. He was a true country boy at heart, from shooting guns to cruising the dirt roads of Hill County. Zachery was willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He graduated from Whitney High School, Class of 2008.

He is preceded in death by his older sister, Tessa Michelle; great- grandparents, Pete and Gladys Slough; grandparents, Bill and Mary Summers.

Zachery is survived by his parents, Patrick and Janita Summers of Whitney; sister, Rachel Lynn Summers of Whitney; his fiancee, Theresa Martinez and her daughters, Gabby and Sabrina Martinez; grandparents, Clarence and Billie Swinscoe; and many other relatives and friends.
