Zelda Middleton, 78, of Hillsboro died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Zelda was born May 29, 1930 in Hill County, Texas the daughter of Claude C. and Myrtle Hollingsworth Fincher. On August 25, 1951 she married Frank Middleton and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1995. She was currently serving as the Director of the Central Texas Senior Ministries Meals on Wheels progam. She enjoyed painting, working with ceramics, sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She really enjoyed helping other people. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son, David Glen Middleton; and one brother, Henry Fincher. Survivors include two sons, Frank Edward Middleton and wife, Vickie, of Rockdale and Morton Lee Middleton of Hillsboro; two brothers, Steve Fincher of Oglesby and Jerry Fincher of Elkhart; two sisters, Virginia McCoy of Woodway and Mary Ruth Heffernan of Huntsville; four grandchildren, Greg Middleton of Hewitt, Andrea Henry of East Benard, Magen Middleton of Tyler, and Garrett Middleton of Itasca; and a great-granddaughter, Miranda Henry of East Benard. Memorials may be made to the Central Texas Senior Ministries Meals on Wheels, 219 East Elm Street, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
