Barbara Ann (Daniel) Soulé passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, May 8, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall.
Barbara was born September 29, 1947, to Dwayne and Marie (Rash) Daniel in Fort Worth, Texas. She met the love of her life, James Alton Soulé, and they were married on January 7, 1967. He preceded her in death December 27, 1995.
Barbara loved her Lord and was dedicated to service to him through her church, Friendship Baptist Church in Cleburne. A member of the Hill County Garden Club, Barbara was a master gardener. She was also an excellent seamstress and was known for her King Ranch Chicken and made form scratch banana pudding. Barbara worked for over fifteen years for Covington Independent School District, starting in the kitchen, with most of her years there as a bus driver.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Soulé; her parents; and her son, Joshua Soulé; Barbara is survived by her daughter, Joey Hays and her “favorite son in law,” Darryl; her sons, Judd Soulé and wife, Karie, Jeremy Soulé and wife, Amy, Jacob Soulé, Justin Soulé and wife, Kama, Jared Soulé and fiancée, Steely, Joseph Soulé and wife, Megan, and Jules Soulé; twenty grandchildren; four great-grandchildren (with two more on the way); a brother, Joe Daniel and wife, Pam; and a sister, Linda Denton.
