Bill Wilkins

Bill Wilkins age 56, of Whitney Texas passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney with Dr. Gerald Dudley officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney. A visitation will be held Thursday December 1, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Bill was born on January 13, 1966, in Bryan, Texas to Morris and Cynthia (Calahan) Wilkins. He graduated from Whitney High School in 1984 then attended Henderson County College /Trinity Valley College and graduated from MCC Law Enforcement College, while he served 3 terms as Hill County Constable, retiring in December of 2020.  Bill also served on the Whitney Volunteer Fire Department from 1990 to 2007, later he served with the Lakeview Fire Department.  Bill was also a part of the Lake Whitney Rescue Association.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing paintball, and shooting guns and was a member of the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Harry and Reva (Marshall) Calahan and Morris and Lucy (Quarelli) Wilkins.

Bill is survived by his parents, Morris and Cindy Wilkins; brother, Bob Wilkins; and sister, Becky Wilkins; faithful canine companions, Luna and Brownie; and a large extended family of aunts and cousins.
