Billy Ray Eubank

Billy Ray Eubank, 89, of Whitney, passed away on July 6, 2020, in Whitney.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Mr. Chris Wheat of Northside Church of Christ officiating.  Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park.  A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., prior to the service on Thursday morning.

Billy was born on September 28, 1930, in Whitney, to Charlie and Vera (Callaway) Eubank, was raised in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School.  In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and coon hunting and he especially loved going to Branson, Missouri.   But his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and grandchildren.   He served in the Texas National Guard and was a member of Whitney Church of Christ. 

On September 22, 1969, he married Virginia Carol Arnold in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  He spent his whole life farming and ranching and he always grew a garden every year.    In 1976 the family was awarded “Farm Family of the Year” for Hill County.  

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Rex and Charlie Eubank.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Eubank; son, Randy Eubank and wife, Julie; 2 grandsons, Elijah Eubank and Jonah Eubank; a very special sister, Betty June Rader and husband, Richard of Eudora, Kansas; several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
