Bobbie (Jordan) Curlee

Bobbie (Jordan) Curlee was born on July 6, 1932, in Hillsboro, Texas, to Mamie and Wilbur Jordan. She was the youngest of five children. Bobbie accepted Christ at an early age and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Bobbie Jordan married Jack J. Curlee on July 31, 1951, and to this union two children were born, Carol and Sandra Curlee.

Bobbie and Jack lived in Waxahachie, Texas, for many years before moving to Carthage, Texas, to be near their daughters.

Bobbie worked for Northside Elementary in Waxahachie for 20 years while taking care of her family. She was a loving wife and mother who also loved her fur baby, Scooter, and the Dallas Cowboys.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mamie and Wilbur Jordan; siblings, Owa, Velva, Ruth, and Pat; and a special niece, Brenda Humphreys (they talked on the phone everyday).

After a brief illness, Bobbie departed this life on June 24, 2021. Bobbie and Jack stood by their vows of “til death do us part” for 69 years when Jack succumbed to his illness on February 23, 2021. They are now reunited for eternity.

Bobbie Jordan Curlee’s precious memories will be forever cherished by her daughters, Carol and Mike Railey and Sandra Curlee; and fur baby Scooter, all of Carthage, Texas.

The family would like to thank Lisa and Yolanda, whom she loved very much. They have been tremendous help during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.to noon at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro ,with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory.
