Bobby Arriola, age 71, of Whitney passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in Whitney. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney with Mr. Bruce Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors' chapel in Whitney.
Bobby was born on October 3, 1949, in Nacogdoches, Texas to Tony and Marie (Emmerson) Arriola. In 1970, Bobby obtained his Peace Officer’s license. That same year, in December, he married the love of his life, Sherry.
Bobby enjoyed shopping, attending car shows, listening to music and the company of his friends. He worked many years in law enforcement and acted as Chief of Police in Aubrey, Eastland, Whitney and Alvarado. He also worked for Ellis County Sheriff's office and then later retired from the Johnson County Sheriff's office. During his time as Chief of Police, Bobby owned and operated Bobby’s Burgers in Whitney.
Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; sons, Joey of Keene, Ben and wife, Tracy of Cleburne, Bobby Jr. of Ft. Worth, Brandon and wife, Randi of Grandview, Eric and wife, MeLia of Burleson; daughters, Stacy Lynn Brumfield and husband, Mike of Whitney and Stacie Rae Lyons and husband, James of Muskego, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
