Brenda Jo (Baker) Wilson

Brenda Jo (Baker) Wilson, 63, of Hillsboro, Texas, departed this life on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro, Texas. Visitation will take place from noon to 6:00 pm, on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas.

Born on November 21, 1958, to Vernon and Maurine (Gibson) Baker in Hillsboro, Texas, she was one of eleven children. Brenda married her high school sweetheart, Samuel E. Wilson, Sr., on May 3, 1980. They shared forty-two years of marriage and raised three children together. Brenda worked at the Hill County Tax Office for thirty-three years and was a member of the Park Lake Drive Church of Christ of Waco, Texas, where she attended faithfully until her health changed and later failed. Brenda enjoyed family gatherings, sewing, cooking, and helping others.

Brenda was preceded by her parents and her brother, Vernon Baker, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Samuel Wilson Sr.; her son Samuel Wilson Jr. and wife Erica; her daughters, Kimberly Suggs and husband Derrick, Krystal Clark and husband Terrence Jr.; five grandchildren, Khloe Suggs, Zoe Suggs, Terrence Clark III, Kyleigh Clark and Kaiden Clark; and nine siblings, Carolyn Vaughn, Versie Johnson, Margie Baker, Steve Baker, Larry Baker, Norman Baker and wife Marilyn, Norma Baker, Tony Baker and wife Christine and Cynthia Baker; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends who will miss her immensely.
