Carlos Vargas Obituary

On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, Carlos Vargas, a loving husband and father of one son, passed away at the age of 57.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Misael Alvarado officiating.

Carlos was born October 1, 1962, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Santiago Vargas and Gregoria Gonzalez Vargas.  He worked 40 years at Southwest Stalls, first for Kenny and Lori Allen and now under the new ownership of Todd and Lori Williams.

Carlos had a passion for playing sports with his son, Ryan.  He was a great supporter of Ryan and his love for baseball and most sports.  Being a dedicated Christian man, he and his family lived a great life.  He was known for being one of the hardest workers anywhere.  Carlos and Ginger were very dedicated parents to Ryan.  Carlos was also a supporter of all of Ginger’s adventures.

Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Ginger, of Hillsboro; son, Ryan, 15 of Hillsboro; mother-in-law, Joyce Walker; many friends and relatives; and the family pet, Rocky, their Great Pyrenees.

The family would like to give a special recognition to Kenny and Lori Allen and Todd and Lori Williams, employers and dedicated friends.  They depended on Carlos greatly and he thought so much of them.

Donations may be made to: First National Bank of Central Texas for Ginger Walker.
