Mary Charlene Dawkins (Martin), age 85, of Whitney passed away on June 18, 2021 in Waco. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday July 10, 2021 at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Charlene was born on May 22, 1936 to Horace and Inez Martin in Hillsboro, TX.
She was married to Billy Joe Dawkins and they enjoyed 56 years together. Charlene enjoyed going to church, being a homemaker, cooking, taking care of her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Dawkins, sister, Billie Jeanette Martin, son, Stephen Dawkins along with her mother and father.
Charlene is survived by her sons, Ricky, Billy and wife, Debbie; daughter, Kimberly; niece, Susie Upchurch, Dana Martin, Gaylynn Halbert; nephew, James Michael Davis, Jackie Martin, Robert Dale Daniel; brother, Raymond Martin; grandchildren, Ricky Dawkins, Thomas Stephen Dawkins, Michael Ross Dawkins, Lindsay Renee Dawkins, David Alan Dawkins, Britani Lauren Yocham, Amber Nicole Dawkins, Stevie Raye Dawkins, and Jessy James Plunkett and numerous great-grandchildren.
