Charles Geton Murrah

Charles Geton Murrah, 88, of Itasca passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Central Baptist Church in Itasca.  Burial will follow at Covington Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Charles was born on October 6, 1931, in Ferdonia, Texas to William Wells and Ruby Jewell Murrah. He served in the United Stated Army. Then later worked as a supervisor and retired from General Dynamics.

Preceding him in death were his parents, William Wells Murrah and Ruby Jewell Murrah; first wife, Helen Delores (Jones) Murrah; second wife, Ovella Joe (Sepert) Murrah; son, Marshall Geton Murrah; brothers, Valton Marvin Murrah, Wells Ruben Murrah and Harold Stanley; and sisters, Eva Marie Thornton and Mildred Mavis Kuykendall.

Survivors include children, step-son, Billy and wife, Carrie Sepert, step-daughter, Tamie and husband, Terry Schmidt, step-son, Tim and wife, Gerri Applegate, step-daughter, Tonya and husband, Doug Chandler, step-son, Keith Applegate, and step-daughter, Theresa Applegate; daughter-in-law, Don Murrah; and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
