Cheryl “Charlie” Standly, 75, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, August 19, 2019, in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, at the funeral home.
Cheryl was born June 2, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas the daughter of John Albert and Mildred Flovelle (Flemmons) Keetch. At the age of 11, Cheryl contracted the Polio Virus which settled in her right leg and the doctors told her that she would never walk again. However, she was a woman of strength, courage, and determination who overcame many adversities and lived a fully active life. She was united in marriage to Glenn Standly in 1966 and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and sister, Jeaneen McMaster.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn R. Standly; children, Stanton Keetch Standly, Stanley Stuart Standly, and Stessa Lenn Standly Miles; brother, J.A. Keetch (Jady); six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
