Cynthia Darlene (Jones) Kallus

Early in the morning on Friday, July 16, 2021, our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Cynthia Darlene Kallus passed away at the age of 65.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.  Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the funeral home.

Cynthia Darlene Jones was born on February 13, 1956, in Lubbock to Ralph and Doris Jones.  She moved with her family to Hill County in the 1970’s and lived in Hillsboro at the time of her death.

Family was everything to Darlene.  She was a proud mother to her four children, Christopher, Shelley, Shawn, and Brandon.  On February 21, 1981, she was united in marriage to Richard Kallus in Abbott.  You could always find Darlene spending time with her family and many friends.  She enjoyed working at her jobs that she had, spoiling her pets, and cruising on her motorcycle.  Darlene was so proud of herself for working hard and recently receiving her GED.  She also was proud of the new “little home” that she was building and decorating.

Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Christopher Allen Reeves; and sister, Diane Perry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Richard Kallus, of Hillsboro; daughter, Shelley Renee Graham and husband, Ronnie, of Arkansas City, KS; sons, Shawn Wayne Whitaker and wife, Fidela, of Hillsboro and Brandon William Kallus and fiancée, Linda Day, of Rochester, NY; sister, Kelly Baxter and husband, Ronnie, of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Kimberlea Cheyanne Graham, Ethan Nathanial Graham, Megan Lee Secundino, Celia Evelyn Whitaker, Joaquin Desederio Trejo, and Cynthia Desederio Whitaker; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
