Dana Kay Howard

Dana Kay Howard, age 72, of Clifton was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney with Reverend Eddie Booth officiating. 

She was born March 27th, 1949 to Daniel and Allene Hill. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.” Kay embodied this sentiment. She had an unwavering love for her family and friends. Her proudest moments were those where she was surrounded by her family, her beloved husband, Steve, her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, her siblings, and their families. She enjoyed life to its fullest every moment she had a chance. She was a woman who ate her dessert first. A woman who happily indulged in taking a country drive. She was a simple woman who graciously exuded an innocence that was “child-like”, as her husband always said. She loved children and they loved her, starting at home in her own family and carrying over to her occupation as an educator. She led by example, teaching everyone who crossed her path how to live, how to love, how to endure, how to be strong. Her faith was steadfast, and she was full of hope. She cared with all her heart and went out of her way to love every single one of us never-ending.                                                         

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Stephen Howard.

 She is survived by her sister Donna Whitehead and brother, David Hill and wife, Jane, her children; Tanya Worthington, Clint Howard, and Steven Howard and wife Laura, her grandchildren; Megan Howard and Dakota Thompson and wife Krystal, and her great-grandchildren; Cherilynn Johns and David Garcia.
