Dewayne Sanders Obituary

Carrol "Dewayne" Sanders, 69, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022, in Waco, Texas. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 1, 1953 to Frank Sanders and Inez.  As a young boy his family moved to Tennessee. Dewayne loved hunting and fishing with his older brother and father. In the early 70's he joined the Marine Corp, after being discharged he moved to Florida and from there began working as a clam diver, fisherman and picked fruit in the orange groves. He traveled to Washington in time for the cherry season, then he traveled to California. Dewayne enjoyed motorcycle rides and muscle cars, it seemed like he could tell you every make, model and year of every one of them . Later on he moved to Texas where he made his living working construction, traveling to different job sites. Dewayne was a very loving and compassionate man, an animal lover and it did not matter who you were, it seemed like he never met a stranger. Dewayne adored and was very proud of all of his children, the love he had for them was a love without end. He was a God fearing man and loved his country to the fullest. He was truly loved and will forever be missed, but we know he is watching us with the Lord right beside him with a can of cold Pepsi in his hand.

Dewayne was preceded in death by his loving parents, Frank and Inez Sanders; his daughter, Caroline Sanders and his brother, Danny Sanders.

Dewayne is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Marcie Sanders of Whitney, Texas; Daughter, Rose Sanders of Whitney, Texas, Inez Sanders of Florida, Shanna Sanders of Tennessee, Teri Eubank of Missouri; and his son, David Sanders of Georgia.
