My father is like no other…….

From crop dusting to chartered airlines,
And under the Golden Gate Bridge;
From Texas to Alaska, and the
Ruidoso, New Mexico ridge;

Sailing to Australia, American Samoa, and everywhere in between;
Through storms, hurricanes, and the biggest whale you’ve ever seen.

While some called him an adventurer or dare devil, 
God gave him a long life, and I’m glad;
Because I got to hear his stories and love him a long time,
And gratefully I get to call him Dad.

Donald Ray Curtis, 92, and native of Hillsboro, TX, passed on to Heaven on June 26, 2020.  He is survived by the mother of his children and forever love, Margaret Curtis, of Bryan, TX; respected son, Don Curtis, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Bryan, TX; loving daughter, Lee Ann Head and husband, Rick, of Canton, GA; grandson, Timothy Rawls Head and wife, Annie Kate, and great granddaughters, Sophia and Johanna, of Cumming, GA; grandson, Matthew Curtis Head and wife, Riann, and great grandchildren, Ayden and Ashlyn, of Canton, GA; and devoted Caregiver, Dora Herrera and husband, Beto, of Hillsboro, TX.

Donald Ray Curtis will be buried in Ridge Park Cemetery among his family at a family service with Navy honors.
