Donald Wayne Schmidt

Donald Wayne Schmidt, age 59, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Providence. A Funeral Service will at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the funeral home. Facial masks and social distancing will be required.

Donald was born September 14, 1961 in Dallas, Texas. He was a loving and fun person. Donald enjoyed western movies and was always rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. His favorite activity was spending time with three grandchildren, Esperanza, Juanita, and Javier.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Bagby; brother in law, Samuel Ybarra; sister in law, Christi Ybarra; grandfather in law, Juan Ybarra; great niece, Lilith Nelson; and aunt in law, Elena Ybarra.

Donald is survived by his wife, Rebecca Schmidt; mother, Shirley Payton; mother in law, Angelita Ybarra; daughter, Rachelle Trejo and husband Robert; grandchildren, Esperanza Trejo, Juanita Trejo, Javier Trejo; sisters. Sandy Amdedy and Tracy Schmidt; nieces, Briana Bagby, Samantha Ybarra, Margarita Ybarra, Angelita Ybarra; nephews, Jimmy Staggs and Brian Harrison; sister in laws, Cynthia Ybarra, Penelope Ybarra, Patricia Ybarra, and several grand nieces and nephews.
