Edward Alexander Josey

Edward Alexander Josey, 80, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, in Hillsboro.  Graveside services will take place at 10:00am, Friday, August 11, 2023, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Edward Josey was born May 24, 1943, to Bert and Ollie Josey in Clifton, Texas.  He was raised in Meridian, Texas.  Edward joined the United States Army on March 21, 1963.  He served three years in the Vietnam War.  While in the Army, Edward received Sharpshooter (rifle, M-14), Marksman (pistol 45 cal.), Good Conduct Medal (first award), DRV Badge and a Vietnam Service Medal. 

Edward returned from the Army and he met and married Lana Kay Watson on October 12, 1966. He has one son, Alan Josey.  Edward and Lana enjoyed refurbishing antiques and reselling them.  He enjoyed fishing with his best friends and going to antique car shows.  He also enjoyed going to gun shows and target shooting. 

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers. He is survived by his son, Alan Josey and partner Kathy Locke. One sister Melvina (Cookie) Myers from Laguna Park, Texas.  One grandson, Jason Locke and his wife Jillian and their daughter, Austin from Maypearl, Texas.  One granddaughter, Jessica Tuck, and her husband Travis, and their son, Grayson from Virginia.
