Frances Jane (Boortz) Leggett

Frances Leggett age 78, of Burleson passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors chapel in Hillsboro with Bro. Terry Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Frances was born on October 4, 1942 in Aquilla, Texas to Theodore J. and Bertha (Augusta) Boortz. She was a Hillsboro High School graduate and later graduated from Nursing School in 1961. Frances was united in marriage to Roy Leggett on October 14, 1961 in Hillsboro. She worked at the Boyd Sanitorium and Grant-Buie before moving to Grapevine, where she worked in nursing homes. After a 45-year career in nursing, she retired and moved to Burleson. Frances loved her cats and dogs and loved to cook for family gatherings.

Frances is survived by her husband, Roy Don Leggett, Sr.; children, Roy Don Leggett, Jr. and wife, Shelley and Christina Ann Powell and husband, David; granddaughter, Sarah Jessica Ford and husband, Michael; great granddaughter, Ellie Paige Ford and a great granddaughter on the way.
