Frank Dominguez Arellano

Frank “Running Water” Arellano died October 6, 2023, at Community Healthcare of Texas Hospice House, Burleson, Texas. Funeral service will take place at 2:00pm, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Chisholm Trail Museum in Cleburne, Texas, with Pastor Brian Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas.

Frank was born in Itasca, Texas, to Albert and Mercedes Arellano on January 19, 1963.

Frank loved people, he especially loved his family and anyone he considered family. He took great pride in his native background and took every opportunity to teach and educate people about his indigenous culture. Frank was a member of several native groups where he participated regularly in fundraisers, pow wows, Pioneer Days and reenactments. He was a free spirit.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Albert and Mercedes Arellano; and his brothers, Jimmy Arellano and Raymond Arellano. He is survived his children, Frank Arellano, Jr., Garrett Arellano, Skye Arellano and Emma Grace Arellano; his brothers, Albert Arellano, Jr., Freddy Arellano and Tony Arellano, Sr.; his sisters, Mercy Arellano and Sally Arellano; and grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
